 Exciting things are happening at TransformationIQ! Due to growth across our business, we have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Human Resources specialist to join our team. TransformationIQ, and our subsidiary EasyHR, offer a range of HR consulting and support services to a wide range of customers throughout New Zealand. Our clients include a variety of businesses from privately owned SMEs to some of New Zealand’s most exciting up and coming mid-market operations. This provides an opportunity to work across many dynamic businesses and industry sectors. 

The role 

We are seeking a passionate human resources professional who can work independently providing a wide range of services and support to our amazing clients. Reporting to the managing director, the primary focus of the role is to manage the day-to-day HR operational requirements of our customers, assisting them to resolve employment issues while assisting them to embed a best practice approach to people related matters. Augmenting operational ER, the role also includes implementing and running HR projects and change management initiatives.    Due to the nature of our business, we are seeking someone with the ability to proactively engage with our clients, deal with challenging situations hand-on and help our wonderful clients build great teams.

Key responsibilities include: 

  • Assisting clients develop and implement policies and processes to deal with HR matters
  • Attending to employment relations matters with our clients, including leading on-site client disciplinary meetings
  • Providing coaching, training and advice to managers in all HR matters
  • Delivering a wide range of HR projects
  • Lead change management activities for our clients.

 To be successful in this role, you’ll bring: 

  • 3+ years of experience in HR roles
  • In-depth understanding of and experience managing fast-moving and often complex employment relations issues, including performance management, disciplinary procedures, wages queries, bullying and harassment complaints, personal grievances and mediations
  • Ability to manage effective recruitment for clients as necessary
  • Experience managing challenging and exciting HR projects
  • Strong planning, organisational, leadership and management skills
  • Accuracy and attention to exceptional quality
  • Excellent collaborative and relationship building skills, working with external and internal stakeholders
  • The ability to work on site with client’s where required, and attend scheduled mediations
  • The ability to effectively problem solve to find solutions to unique problems
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Adaptability - we are a busy team, so the ability to perform at pace is essential
  • An awesome personality, with a great sense of humour, willingness to get involved and become part of our great team

At TransformationIQ we operate primarily as a virtual team, so we are seeking someone who wants to be able to primarily work from home, joining work meetings wherever we can find good coffee; and has the ability to attend some meetings and training events at client sites from time to time as required.
